Shells and cords leg warmers

Hook: 4mm and 5mm
Yarn: Worsted weight, 100% wool (I use Fisherman's wool from Lion's Brand)

Top ribbed band
Ch 11.
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and sc in each following ch. Turn.(10 sc)
Row 2: Ch1 and sc in back loop only for the rest of the row. Turn. (10sc)
Row 3: Ch1 and sc in front loop only for the rest of the row. Turn. (10 sc)
Rows 4 - 48 (or up to size needed): Repeat rows 2 and 3.
This is your band that will hold your leg warmer up on your leg like elastic, so you can adjust this to your size (adding or decreasing the amount of rows).
Slip stitch the last row to the first row to close the band.

"Body"

Switch to a 5 mm hook.
The rest of this pattern is worked in the round.
Row 1: Sc 64 around the band as evenly as possible. Or a multiple of 8 that is larger than the number of rows you made for the top ribbed band.
